    Finally! Travel Mugs

    November 6, 2007

Bartend, I mean Barista Travel Mug

I am such a travel mug snob. The Husband was all, “why don’t you just get the plastic ones” and I was all, “if it doesn’t feel like M-O-N-E-Y in your hands, why would you have one?” So Internet, here are the high end travel mugs. Aren’t they pretty? You know you want one. $13.50 and FREE SHIPPING. And Lord knows it’s gonna cost a boatload to ship these suckers.

    Kristen’s Key Lime Pie Martini

    August 1, 2007

Wednesdays will now feature a drink of the week.  It’s coming on Wednesday because that will give you all day Thursday to forget to go to the liquor store and still have Friday lunch hour to get what you are missing before the weekend begins…

Without further ado (whatever the hell that means), installment #1 brings you Kristen’s Key Lime Pie Martini.  Also featured on Kristen’s magnet business card that went oh so well with Kristen’s shot glass.  Kristen now wonders why she insists on referring to herself in third person.

    Kristen’s Key Lime Pie Martini
    1 shot vanilla vodka
    1 shot Licor 43
1 shot key lime juice (don’t cheat with lime juice)
1 shot heavy cream (or half and half, if you are a wimp)

Shake on ice in a martini shaker and strain into a graham cracker-rimmed martini glass.  Garnish with a lime wedge.

    Repeat….
